What happens at the end of my L4G program (including to my accounts and survey data)?

When your Listen4Good program ends, your L4G and SurveyMonkey accounts will be deactivated. Before that happens, you will need to take action in order to retain your feedback data. 

To keep your survey data, take one of the following steps:

  1. Re-enroll in Listen4Good — accounts stay active for continuing participants
  2. Export your data to save and use outside of SurveyMonkey
  3. Transfer your survey(s) to your own SurveyMonkey account (new or existing)

**If you do not take one of these actions before the last day of your program, all of your surveys and response data will be permanently deleted.**


Re-enroll in Listen4Good

At the end of your engagement with L4G, you’ve built a feedback system that you can continue to grow and develop. There are multiple ways to stay involved with L4G that help you deepen your feedback practice, stay connected to L4G's tools and coaching, and keep your SurveyMonkey access:

  • Core programming (Premium or Online+): Best for organizations still building the foundation of their feedback process. Includes access to the L4G web app, a Premier SurveyMonkey account, and content across all five Steps.
  • Advanced tracks (Refine or Amplify): Best for organizations that have already completed L4G's 5-step approach and want to go deeper. Includes the L4G web app and a Premier SurveyMonkey account. Review track options and features

Export your data

If you’re not planning on continuing with L4G or transferring your survey(s) within SurveyMonkey, you'll need to export your data before your account closes. Follow SurveyMonkey's export instructions.


Transfer your survey(s)

Before you can transfer your survey data, you need to have an active SurveyMonkey account.

Types of SurveyMonkey accounts:
SurveyMonkey offers two main paths: self-serve accounts and Enterprise plans.

Self-serve accounts work well for smaller teams or individual users. Options include:

Enterprise plans are best for organizations that need advanced security, admin controls, or integrations. Benefits include:

  • Admin, governance, and branding controls

Q: Is there a free SurveyMonkey option?
Yes. The SurveyMonkey Basic plan is free, but it comes with significant limits: 10 questions and 25 responses per survey, as well as limited features. If you transfer existing surveys to a Basic plan account, you'll only be able to copy surveys with 10 questions or fewer. To view all your past data and access paid features, you'll need to upgrade.

Q: What account do I need to keep multilingual survey tools?
To keep access to multilingual surveys — where clients respond in their preferred language and results are combined in one dataset — you'll need an Individual Premier, Team Premier, or Enterprise account. 
On other plans, you can still create separate surveys in different languages. Those will produce separate datasets rather than a combined one. See full plan features and pricing.

Q: What account do I need to stay HIPAA compliant?
HIPAA compliance requires an Enterprise account. If you collect personal health information and must stay HIPAA compliant, contact Kirsten Davenport Trotier to set up a HIPAA-enabled Enterprise plan.

Q: What happens to my L4G benchmarks?
Once you leave L4G, you'll lose access to L4G-specific benchmarks. SurveyMonkey does offer its own benchmarks, but those are tied to SurveyMonkey's question bank — they won't include any L4G data. Learn more about SurveyMonkey's benchmarks.
