What are the roles in the L4G process?

Listen4Good (L4G) is a capacity-building program, and we use a coaching model — rather than a consulting model — to support organizations participating in our programs.

The role of the L4G feedback coach is to support your staff in building a systematic approach to feedback that is best for your organization’s unique context. Your coach will guide you through each of L4G’s five feedback steps, asking questions about your organization’s needs, offering relevant suggestions and options for your staff to consider, and sharing feedback best practices.

With guidance from your coach, you will develop tools and processes related to each step in the five-step feedback loop. Your organization's Project Manager will be hands-on, leading the work throughout the feedback process, and gaining the confidence and skills to sustain your organization’s feedback practice well beyond your engagement with L4G. If you have any questions about identifying a Project Manager, please refer to our Recommendations for Staffing.

Key Staff and Coach Roles for a High-Quality Feedback Loop

Your staff and your feedback coach will play a variety of roles in building your organization’s capacity to develop high-quality feedback practices. Remember: your staff will lead this work, with the support of a coach. The more your organization invests in L4G, the more you’ll get out of it!

**Organizations participating in our Online+ Program use the L4G web app to schedule a call with an available coach to discuss Step 1, Step 3, Step 5, and the Loop Transition. In our Premium Program, organizations have a dedicated coach who checks in at each step.
