How do I prepare new staff who will be implementing the L4G project?

Staff transitions happen in every organization. Whether a staff transition has already happened or you have one coming up, complete this quick checklist to ensure your L4G project stays on track.

For Departing Staff

Follow the steps below to transfer L4G responsibilities and key information to someone else at your organization.

  1. Inform your coach of the upcoming staff transition (if you have an assigned coach)
  2. Using this checklist, organize the following information for the next staff member managing this work:
    • Make sure new staff have your existing L4G web app login credentials. They can always change the credentials if needed after they join.
      • L4G web app login email: ________________
      • L4G web app password: _________________
    • If you have an assigned coach, share their coach's email (________@listen4good.org)
    • Share with new staff where you currently are in the feedback loop (e.g., in between survey cycles or in the middle of one) and include relevant documentation for each step.
  3. Ask the new staff to review the steps below

For Staff New to L4G

  1. Schedule a Staff Transition Call. During this call, the coach will learn what background information you have on L4G and provide resources to help you continue implementation.
    • If you have an assigned coach, email them directly to schedule this call.
    • If you don't have an assigned coach, sign up for a call
  2. Review any documentation provided by the previous staff that was implementing L4G before you (see checklist) and/or identify other staff members who have been involved with L4G administration or responding to client feedback in the past to gather as much information as possible about the status of your feedback loop(s).
    • Feedback looks different in each organization, so talking to both leadership and program staff about how feedback loops have gone at your organization will be useful.
